Just as the release of “Dilwale” is coming near, the anti-SRK forces are standing up and appealing people to boycott his movie.
On Monday, Chitrapat Karmachari Sena, a group which is associated with the political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has came hardly on the actor Shah Rukh Khan for not offering any help to the farmers of Maharashtra who have been severely affected with the drought. Chitrapat Karmachari Sena has made an appeal to the public to boycott the latest release of Shah Rukh as he has “ignored the plight of farmers reeling under severe drought.”
Amey Khopkar, Chief of MNS Chitrapat Karmachari Sena told PTI, “Farmers in Maharashtra, specially in Marathwada, are reeling under drought. Khan, who has been residing in the state and has made a lot of money, has not helped farmers in distress. When his help is needed, he isn’t forthcoming.”
When Khopkar was asked whether MNS will demand for a ban on Dilwale, he replied, “We are not seeking a ban. We are only appealing people to boycott the film. SRK is taking Maharashtra for granted.”
Dilwale is releasing on December 18 and after a long time we are going to see the sensational pair of Shah Rukh and Kajol sizzling on the screen. SRK has made a contribution of Rs. 1 crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as Tamil Nadu has been hit with the worst flood of the century.
Earlier also MNS has stood against SRK when in 2013, the team of movie Chennai Express demanded prime slots in the single screen cinemas in Maharashtra which were fixed for some Marathi movies.
