A Brave Fighter Jet Pilot Lands His JET On A Stool

An AV-8B Harrier Jet is capable of vertical takeoff and landing meaning, it does not require a runway to takeoff or to land. What would happen and what would a pilot do if the landing gear of Harrier fails.
The US military has just released a video of a situation where a US Marine Corps pilot Captain William Mahoney was made to land the same fighter jet on a stool. Since, biggest disadvantage of this fighter jet is the front landing gear, which fails fairly regularly.

Here is the video

You can watch the video directly on YouTube by clicking here.

To land a $30 million fighter jet with a risk crashing on the landing deck and risking the lives of people on it. The pressure could have been immense. But Captain Mahoney pulled it perfectly.

KRK’S Review Of Tamaasha Is All You Need To See To Decide Whether To Watch It Or Not

Tamaasha directed by Imtiaz Ali starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone released this Friday, on 27th November, and here comes the kickass review of the movie by our loved KRK and I’m sure it would help you in deciding whether to watch the movie or not!! As per KRK, there’s absolutely no story and star cast is asked to do merely kisses. What’s more, Tamasha is characterized by bad direction, rough acting and very few scenes of Deepika in the second half whereas Ranbir rules the whole movie which is also a shortcoming in view of the fact that the actor is not doing good now-a-days and it’s only Deepika who would draw the audience to theatres. Besides these, KRK said a lot more things but to know them, you need to watch the video….

Liquour Ban in Bihar...

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar announced the liquor ban with effect from April 1, 2016 which is going to cost the state a heavy revenue loss. The estimated loss is around Rs 4000 crore for each year.
Currently, the total amount of excise tax that comes from liquor is 15 per cent of the total revenue generated by the state from its own resources. And the amount stands at Rs 30,875 crore for 2015-16, which is one of the lowest in the country.

Nitish had promised to ban liquor  in the month of July during one of the election campaigns in the state.
"There will be prohibition in the state if I am voted to power again," the CM had said.
His announcement has already started affecting the market as the share values of some companies have reacted negatively. United Breweries, trading at around Rs 970 before the Bihar news, fell to a low of Rs 927. The stock closed at Rs 958 on a flat note from its previous close. Sha res of Globus Spirits, that rose to  20 per cent during intra-day trade, had to lose its entire gains to close at Rs 78.6 reports Economic Times.

Haryana and Andhra Pradesh  had imposed ban in the 1990s to gain electoral dividends. But the ban had to be lifted following huge losses in revenue and also because prohibition led to a proliferation in black-market activities. In Bihar under the regime of  Karpoori Thakur, liquor was banned between 1977 and 1979.
Currently, Gujarat, Nagaland, Manipur and the Union Territory of Lakshadweep have total prohibition where as in Kerala, only  five-star establishments are allowed to have bars.

Indian Bahu Tried To SELL Mother-In-Law On INTERNET

Saas-Bahu saga has been a part of Indian households since times immemorial and the peace of the household depends majorly on these two ladies of the house. It is a common belief in the Indian households is that whatever happens in the house should remain inside the closed doors of the house.
However, just recently a lady brought the story of house into the open by posting an advertisement on a barter website Faida.com. She posted an advertisement in which she put her mother-in-law for sale; this is what her ad read, “Mother-in-law in early sixties, a voice so sweet, it can kill the entire neighborhood. An excellent food critic, no food you make will ever be good enough. She is a great adviser too, there’s always something you can do better!”
The tagline of the advertisement was “Mother in-law in Good condition” and what she wanted in exchange was a book on mental peace.

The post was however removed within the 10 minutes of being posted but it has definitely shown the grey shade of the relationship of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law

A same type of case came into limelight when a husband’s photo was posted by his wife in the section of “pets and pet care” on Qukir.com.

The legal experts say that legal action can be taken against people who expressed their frustration in this manner on the web.

Tamasha....The Movie Review

Here's the good news. Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor kiss — with tongues! — and it doesn't look like any seconds of those lip locks were snipped. Also, Tamasha isn't entirely formulaic. It even has a nugget of an interesting idea nestled deep within the coils of its inane plot. However, not even Kapoor and Padukone's charm and easy chemistry can blind you to the fact that we’ve seen both this story and the characters before. Because Tamasha is basically a collection of the standard tropes of Imtiaz Ali films, with a Chetan Bhagat-style self-help lecture about following one's dreams thrown in for good measure.
Tamasha is about a stuffy, convention-swaddled man named Ved (Kapoor) who lets his quirky, ‘wild’ side out when he goes on holiday, and leaves behind the real world of family expectations, daddy issues and office. Leaving aside the sad and telling fact that the desi notion of 'wild' is breaking out in song (while wearing mustard-coloured pants that are ugly even on Kapoor's beautiful person) Ved should sound familiar. The idea of a hero who — in the words of Queen’s Freddie Mercury — wants to break free has popped up repeatedly in Ali's work. You've seen a variation of him in Jab We Met, Rockstar and even Highway, among others.
As usual, providing the yin to the hero’s mummified yang is the giggly heroine. She can only be with the hero briefly because otherwise, Ali would actually have to spend time figuring out what the devil she actually adds to the hero’s life and to the plot. Ali tried to do this in Highway (with some measure of success), but decided all that hard work wasn’t worth it for Tamasha. And so Padukone appears as the severely underwritten Tara.
Tara shows up early in Tamasha and does a lot of cardio with Ved's alter ego, Don, in Corsica. It seems the best way to make sure you don’t have sex with someone you may be attracted to is to run or walk around with them — at least that’s the tip Ali offers. Ved and Tara literally scamper the moment things get close to hot and heavy. The one time a car enters the scene, sex happens.
Back in India, Tara mopes around and then disappears without explanation for the bulk of the film's second half. Four years of Tara’s life pass by within minutes. Meanwhile, more than an hour is lavished upon Ved and his dilemmas.

It’s true that Tamasha isn’t the usual love story between a boy and a girl. It’s a love story between Ved and his multiple personalities, particularly the one who calls himself Don and the little boy self, who may well be the only kid in Shimla to not know the basic plot of the Ramayana.
You may suspect there’s something slightly wonky upstairs when you see Ved in Corsica. Why is he having conversations with mountains instead of the human being in the car with him? Why is he mimicking Dev Anand and unleashing the worst pick-up lines ever? Why are random Corsicans singing and dancing with him? Why is this erratic behaviour charming to Tara?
However, it’s when Ved hurtles towards self-discovery that his insanity becomes unmistakable. He repeatedly talks to his own mirror image. He flies into fits of rage with Tara (because how better to show your love for a woman than by yelling at her?). He also goes to a storyteller (Piyush Jha) and asks the old man to tell him how Ved’s story will end, as though the storyteller is an astrologer.

If it wasn’t for the fact that Kapoor is an immensely talented actor and ably supported by Padukone,Tamasha would have been unwatchable. As it stands, Kapoor is able to somehow make Ved almost endearing, even while performing inane antics like dancing on a table in a boardroom and roaring in the corridors of IIM (ostensibly because he couldn’t crack a maths sum). Ali imagines Ved as a series of clichés and it’s to Kapoor’s credit that those clichés add up to a vaguely credible personality.
Padukone has to play and flesh out a character whose saving grace is that she disappears from the script. As a result, you don’t question why a smart, urbane young woman trusts a guy who's behaviour can at best be called weird. You also gloss over how Tara goes from giggly, to weepy, to clingy, to Japan without explanation. What little Padukone is given to do in the script, she does well. But after her performance in Piku, this role in Tamasha feels like a joke.
The real question at the heart of Tamasha is whether love is a performance and if it is, what happens when the curtains fall at the end of the first act. Which is the real Ved — the man prancing around in Corsica or the responsible executive in Delhi? Who is Tara — the lovesick, pony-tailed professional in India or the open-maned, beaming beauty we see when she’s holidaying? Can you have a fantasy that has nothing of reality in it? Or is unhappiness a fantasy we conjure because we’re too afraid to face up to the truth?

Watch: Freed After 44 Years In Prison, A Man Reacts To Today’s Technology

Imagine a guy who has been in jail for 44 years and suddenly one day, he is set free in the middle of Times Square in New York.
Perhaps, it's very hard for us, 'the free', to think of a situation like this.
So, stop imagining. Meet Otis Johnson, an American who was imprisoned at the age of 25 for attempted murder of a police officer. Now, Johnson is 69 and he is totally perturbed by the things going around him.

Source: YouTube Screenshot

He can't make sense of people talking to themselves with wires in their ears. In fact, in the middle of a street in New York, Johnson is thinking that every person with wires (read headphones) in his ears is a CIA agent because according to him, "only CIA guys used to have wires in their ears when he was young and free (he's talking about 60s, 70s)."
In this swirling cacophony of "crazy stuff" around him, Johnson is missing his family and his two nieces, with whom he lost all contact in 1998. But at the same time, he's not a guy who'll live in past.
As Johnson says "I try not to go back. I try to go forward."

Watch: Rahul Gandhi Gets Trolled By Bengaluru Students

Dressed informally to address the students of Bengaluru's Mount Carmel college, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi seemed like he was in the zone, much like he was when he turned up to meet with FTII students few months back.
But unlike that speech, things did not exactly work out like the Congress vice president may have planned.
So when he asked the audience whether they thought the Swacch Bharat initiative for cleanliness was working, he was visibly surprised when the reply was a resounding, "Yes!"
"Ok I don't see Swacch Bharat working," he said with a shrug of his shoulders and a smile

So he switched tracks.
"Let's ask another question. Do you think Make in India is working?" he asked the audience.
"Yes," they shouted back. Though in Gandhi's defence, many did shout no as well.
Seeing he was not going anywhere with it, the Congress vice president said that in his opinion government initiatives like Make in India, Swacch Bharat and Connect India weren't working.

Here's the video:

Source: Indian News and Views channel
Expectedly, Twitter had a field day with tweets like:

Speaking to reporters outside the auditorium, Gandhi was a lot kinder in his assessment of how the audience reacted. "Half the audience said yes and half said no," he said. A classic case of seeing the bright side of things.

Indians Removing Snapdeal App From Their Phones After Aamir’s “Intolerance” Remark

No doubt, Aamir Khan’s “intolerance” statement has created a storm on the Internet and not only on Twitter but also on other social networking websites, he’s trending as a hot topic. But those who are aware of what he said in connection with rising intolerance in India and what his wife suggested (Leave India), they must be knowing that Aamir Khan is trending for all wrong reasons. What’s more shocking is that his statement has created an adverse effect on his fans and they are no longer his admirers. Instead, people are absolutely fine with his leaving the country and getting settled in some other nation. What’s more, they even suggested that he can go to Syria or a place like this to feel secure and protected….
To quote Yogi Adityanath’s remark with regard to Aamir Khan, “If somebody wants to leave (India), then has anybody stopped him? If somebody wants to leave, he can do so voluntarily. At least, it will reduce the country’s population.”
Additionally, it has affected brands too which Aamir endorses and people are no more interested in such companies whose brand ambassador is Mr. Perfectionist; for example, Snapdeal. As we all know that Aamir Khan is the brand ambassador of Snapdeal, Indians are so furious with his remark that they even uninstalled and deleted the app of Snapdeal from their mobile phones and tweeted the screenshot on Twitter, asking Snapdeal to change their brand ambassador, as if Aamir will endorse the brand, they will no longer use their products and if they want to continue their business, they must replace Aamir Khan!
