You Won’t Be Able To Use Your Indian Passport After 24th November “If”

If you are planning a New Year Celebration at any foreign destination, first have a look at your passport, your passport may be of no use after November 24, 2015.
Your passport will become useless if it is handwritten.
The Indian government has advised all the Indians whether living in India or it foreign countries to immediately exchange their handwritten passports (in which the details have been filled with hand) with the ones which are machine-readable.
If your passport looks like this, it will definitely become useless after Nov, 24 2015:

The handwritten or Non-Machine Readable Passports will be phased out all over the world after November 24, 2015 as decided by the International Civil Aviation Organization (IACO). After that any person travelling on a non-machine readable passport won’t be able to get visa from any other foreign country.
Point to be kept in Mind: The Indian government has been issuing machine readable passports (MRP’s) since 2001, so a handwritten or non-MRP will be replaced only if it is issued before 2001 and it has a validity of 20 years.
So all the Indians who have Indian passport should get their passports reissued before November 24 2015, otherwise foreign trips will be cancelled.
