Apart from devastating natural and man made disasters which stunned the world, Japan has also come across as a witness to the spectacular mysteries of nature, some of which have been at the centre of numerous myths.

The giant squid, a creature often depicted as a devastating monsters in books like Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and is also referred to as the Kraken, has been spotted for the third time in seas near Japan.

While the first such sighting of a giant squid was reported in 2004, it was first captured in the wild in 2012. Now another breathtaking video of the humongous but beautiful creature was recorded in Toyama Bay on Christmas eve, The Age reported.

Since the estimates of the size of a giant squid place females at a maximum of 43 ft and males at 33 ft, the one recorded on Thursday was probably a young one at a 12 ft long.

The diver involved in the close encounter with the giant marine creature told CNN, "My curiosity was way bigger than fear, so I jumped into the water and go close to it, this squid was not damaged and looked lively, spurting ink and trying to entangle his tentacles around me."

A colossal giant squid weighing around 770 pounds was dissected in New Zealand in 2014, and it was discovered that it had three hearts. Let's hope we allow the

This Popular Retain Chain Is Fined 1 Lakh For Taking Rs 90 Extra From A Customer

A consumer forum of Delhi has ordered Big Bazaar for paying 1 lakh fine as the retail chain overcharged a consumer. The supermarket is directed for depositing Rs. 80,000 in the account of consumer legal aid whereas it has to pay Rs. 20,000 as compensation to Sarita Narain for “harassing” & “cheating”.  As per east district consumer forum, it’s completely against the law to charge more than MRP (maximum retail price) and here Big Bazaar charged Sarita Rs. 90 extra.

Additionally, the forum asked Central govt’s secretary (finance), Delhi govt’s secretary (finance) and chief commissioner (income tax) for examining account of the supermarket so that it could be make sure whether Big Bazaar deceived other consumers too in the same way. As stated by the forum, “The departments of trade & taxes and income tax should jointly take action to scrutinize Big Bazaar’s accounts to find out the mischief they have committed with customers and recover from them with penalty and tax due thereon the amount which they have overcharged in excess.”

This incident dates back to 2012 when Sarita made a purchase of Rs. 3,512.80 from the retail chain and got to know that they charged Rs. 160 for turmeric powder which had the MRP 90 written on it plus Rs. 40 each for 2 soap having Rs. 30 MRP printed. In this connection, Big Bazaar alleged that it “never had the intention to dupe” the customer and overcharging was “inadvertent oversight”. As stated by Big Bazaar in court, “The overbilling…is an inadvertent oversight committed by a staff of the respondent and not a deliberate act of the respondent to sell the goods on price above MRP to the complainant.”

Big Bazaar’s argument was not able to convince the jury bench which was headed by N A Zaidi and the bench felt that the retail chain carried out unfair trade practices.

According to bench, “By and large, customers do not pay so much attention at the time of making the payment and by scrutinizing the bill at home..it is the duty of the seller or the service provider to be honest and charge the customers the MRP (maximum retail price) including or excluding tax, as the case may be. Big Bazaar is a big retail chain and by indulging in this kind of unfair trade practices and methods, they are cheating the public and making huge profits…”

You’ll Be Shocked To Know Why School Strikes Off Names Of AAP MLA’s Kids

One topic that is being debated all over India is the “Salaries” of MPs and MLAs and amid this discussion, one MLA of Aam Aadmi Party from Delhi has failed in paying the school fees of his kids and as a result, the names of the kids have been strike off from the school.

As per a report published in The Indian Express, AAP MLA from Okhla, Amanatullah Khan has not paid the school fees of his children for the last six months who study in the Hamdard Public School and the reason that has been given by the MLA for non-payment is his ‘abysmal’ salary. Amanatullah Khan’s daughter is in Class III and son is in Class VII, their names have been strike off from the register this week due to non-payment of six months fees.

The AAP legislator from Delhi told that the outstanding fees is already Rs.58,000 and now the expenses will increase further as re-admission fees will also be charged.

Amanatullah Khan said, “From the Rs 83,500 that I get every month, Rs 62,000 is spent in running my office, which includes salaries of two data operators whom I pay Rs 30,000; Rs 12,000 is for a driver; and Rs 20,000 for two office boys… I have turned the ground floor of our house into my office… All my finances are transparent. It has been difficult to face my children and wife.”

However, if the Ministry of Home Affairs approves the bill passed by the Delhi legislative assembly which proposes a hike of 400% in salaries of MLAs and Ministers, then Khan’s problems will be solved.

Answering other queries from the RTI act, PMO replied that Modi didn’t receive any smartphone from his office. Which means the IPhone spotted in Narendra Modi’s famous selfies is either bought by the PM himself or was gifted to him. Answering another query to What is the Internet speed of PM’s Office?, PMO replied the Internet speed of the Prime Minister Office is 34Mbps.

Google’s New, Smarter Messaging App Could Be Hangouts and Now, Rolled Into One

Google, part of Alphabet Inc, is building a new mobile messaging application to better compete with rival services such as those offered by Facebook Inc, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The new service would tap into Google's artificial intelligence know-how, integrating chatbots, or software programs that answer questions, inside a messaging app, the Journal reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The new app will enable users to text friends or a chatbot, which will search the web and other sources for information to answer a question.

It is unclear when the service will be launched, or what it will be named, the report said.

Google declined to comment.

Popular messaging apps include Facebook's WhatsApp and Messenger services, and Tencent Holdings Ltd's WeChat, while Google has a service called Hangouts.

Sooraj Barjatya To Sue Makers Of Comedy “Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3”?

Although Sooraj Barjatya generally has a cool and composed temperament, he’s allegedly annoyed with makers of “Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3”, the first ever p**n-com of India, and he actually has reasons for it.

As per Mid-Day, he is not at all happy or feeling good for his name being used in the movie starring Tusshar Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani and Mandana Karimi. There is no denying the fact that his movies are something which serve ample entertainment and enjoyment despite being utterly clean and cater to families. But as reported, Sooraj Barjatya is considering taking lawful action against the makers since they used his name without seeking permission.

If you have seen its trailer, you must be knowing why he wants to sue the makers but if you are not aware of the reason, here’s why…..

In “Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3” trailer, Mandana tells Tusshar “Mere Dad sanskar, parivar ko bada mante hain…aur woh tumhari family se milna chahte hain…” and he reacts like this, “Tumhare Daddy Sooraj Barjatye ke Babuji jaise honge…yeh pata nahin tha…” to which Karimi says, “Mere Dad Barjatya nahin Karjatya hain…Surya Karjatya.”

Additionally, the makers have made reference to “Hum Aapke Hain Koun!” as “Hum Aapke Hain P**n”.

Nevertheless, to quote the statement of Balaji Motion Pictures CEO Aman Gill, “‘Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3’ is a comedy that is meant to tickle the funny bones of the audience with various spoofs. In no way are we trying to hurt anyone’s sentiments.”

Watch The Awkward Moment Steve Harvey Announces The Wrong Miss Universe

This Miss Universe pageant was aired live on Sunday night and the host Steve Harvey wrongly announced that Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez had won. And after she had taken her first walk as the new Miss Universe, Harvey announced that he had misread the card and that in fact Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, was the actual winner. Gutierrez was apparently the runner-up.

Pilot Notices Cracks In Windshield Of Air India Aircraft, Flight Returns To Delhi

Passengers of a Lucknow-bound Air India flight from Delhi had a narrow escape on Sunday after the windshield of the aircraft developed a crack after take-off. The aircraft had to make an emergency landing back at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

According to sources at the airport, there were 160 passengers on board the flight, apart from crew members. The flight took off from the Delhi airport for Lucknow at 7.15 AM and after about one hour of being airborne, the pilot of the aircraft reportedly noticed cracks on the windshield, which could have proven dangerous at the high pressure zone at which an aircraft flies.

The pilot informed the Delhi Air Traffic Control (ATC), following which full emergency conditions were declared at the airport. The Delhi ATC declared local stand-by for the flight AI 411 at 8.30 AM and the flight landed safely at the airport's runway 29 at 8.40 AM. After the aircraft landed and was safely parked, the stand-by for other aircraft was called off at 8.50 AM. Sources said that an alternate aircraft was arranged to fly the stranded passengers to Lucknow.

The Air India spokesperson couldn't be contacted for comments despite repeated attempts.

Apple Slashes Prices Of iPhone 6S, 6S Plus; 16 GB iPhone 6s Now Costs Rs 55,000

When Apple launched the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in India months ago, many complained about the high prices to no avail. But after sales nosedived after Diwali, the company has reportedly now decided to cut the prices of its latest flagship phones.

The iPhone 6s 16 GB model was introduced at Rs 62,000 in October, but the price has now come down to at 55,000, reported The Times Of India.

The iPhone 6s Plus 16 GB will now be available for Rs 62000, while the 64 GB and 128 GB versions will come for Rs 79000 and Rs 86000 respectively.

All versions of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will fall in the price range of Rs 55,000 to Rs 92,000, reports The Economic Times.

While Apple might have expected its consumers to upgrade from their iPhone 6 phones to the iPhone 6s models, the company discovered that it hadn't happened on the scale that they anticipated. They're hoping the reduced price difference between the two versions will prove to be a motivation for consumers to opt for an upgrade.

And this drop in prices is good news for those who want to buy the phones as it has prompted the phone to be sold for cheaper online.

So while the iPhone 6s is now priced at Rs 52000, prices on Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal go as low as Rs 48,499 for iPhone 6s 16 GB version, reports The Indian Express.

The iPhone 6s Plus 16 GB version originally priced at Rs 72000 comes for Rs 61,999, the report says.
